LVL 6-10 FARMING

Once you get bigger lvl 5 npcs are not enough and you need to lvl up your heros. Lvl 6-10 has defense trebuchets so you will lose some or all ballistas. It is better to attack these with troops.

One thing to keep in mind too is lvl 6-8 NPCs are not worth hitting. The reason is you lose more troops than the resources you take from the NPC.

Lvl 8s and lvl 9s can be hit with 94k archers 1k workers scouts swords pikes cav and transports. Lvl 8s can be hit with 89k+ warriors and 1k transports which is also a great way to lvl up heros.

Lvl 10 npcs are the first one to give trouble.

First you will need to have technologies to lvl 9 or 10 preferrably 10. These researches are Military Tradition, Iron working, Archery, Horseback riding, Compass, and Medicine.

Second rallyspot needs to be lvl 10 to send 100k wave of troops. With a high attack hero, you can farm it with a lvl 9 but that extra 10k troops helps alot.

Third you will need to scout the lvl 10 til the hero is below a lvl 10. Once it is be quick to attack cause it will change within 5 minutes.

Fourth send 91k archers 3k scouts 2k transports and 1k of workers warriors pikes and swords with a hero at least lvl 60+ with a high attack or lvl 70+ to be safe. If you want to cut archer loses you can send a few waves of 3k warriors to hit right before but not necessarry.
